Building the Foundation
I’ve begun transforming Tony’s Kitchen & Home from visual concepts into a professional, editable cookbook system in Adobe InDesign.
The master recipe template is taking shape, and new tracking tools will organize every recipe, guide, and publication page as the project grows.

Testing the Sunday sauce notes
The first round of recipe cards is being tested for timing, seasoning, and the little handwritten instructions that never make it into ordinary cookbooks.

Photographing tools with history
Wooden spoons, a favorite Dutch oven, and the mixer on the counter are becoming part of the visual language for the book — proof that the kitchen itself has a memory.

Gathering the stories between recipes
Each dish gets a short memory where it belongs: who first made it, what table it appeared on, and why it still deserves a place in the family rotation.

This page will collect early cookbook page designs, recipe-card scans, photography setups, and notes from the kitchen as the book takes shape. The goal is to show the process, not just the finished cover.

PROJECT MILESTONES
Collected family recipe cards and selected the first chapter themes.
Built the first recipe testing list for sauces, suppers, sweets, and everyday techniques.
Started photography direction around real kitchen equipment, familiar tools, and heirloom surfaces.
Readers are invited to share family recipes, kitchen notes, photographs, or memories that belong at the table. Contributions may inspire future updates or help preserve the stories behind the dishes.
